International Bridges to Justice

International Bridges to Justice is a Geneva based non-governmental organisation committed to promoting the rule of law in developing courtiers. IBJ have a partnership with the Centre for the Study of Human Rights, University of Colombo is currently implementing a project to advance Transitional Justice and Rule of Law in Sri Lanka. As a part of the project, CSHR creating this Criminal Law (Torture) database for ensure access to justice system and promoting rights to information of people.

Centre for the Study of Human Rights, University of Colombo

Centre for the Study of Human Rights (CSHR), was established in 1991 in response to extensive human rights violations in Sri Lanka at the time period. It was set up as a non-profit organisation within the Faculty of Law, University of Colombo, with the objective of making the public aware of their rights and remedies for the violation of rights. CSHR has been a pioneer of human rights education for more than 25 years with its’ mandate of human rights education and research.
The CSHR’s goal is to create a nation with a rights consciousness in which the dignity and rights of all people are respected.
